ThishighlyintegratedPWMcontrollerprovidesseveralfeaturestoenhancetheperformanceoflow-powerflybackconverters.TheproprietarytopologyenablessimplifiedcircuitdesignforLEDlightingapplications.

Byusingsingle-stagetopologywithprimary-sideregulation,aLEDlightingboardcanbeimplementedwithfewexternalcomponentsandminimizedcost.Noinputbulkcapacitororfeedbackcircuitryisrequired.ToimplementgoodpowerfactorandlowTHD,constanton-timecontrolisutilizedwithanexternalcapacitorconnectedtotheCOMIpin.

Preciseconstant-currentcontrolregulatesaccurateoutputcurrentversuschangesininputvoltageandoutputvoltage.TheoperatingfrequencyisproportionallyadjustedbytheoutputvoltagetoguaranteeDCMoperationwithhigherefficiencyandsimplerdesign.

FL6632providesopen-LED,short-LED,andover-temperatureprotectionfeatures.Thecurrentlimitlevelisautomaticallyreducedtominimizeoutputcurrentandprotectexternalcomponentsinashort-LEDcondition.
